Tuesday Night Movie Night

Tuesday is the new Friday is the new (movie) date night

Got the itch for a free, queer movie fix? Good news, your cravings have been answered with two films happening tomorrow night. The bad news? You'll have to choose.

Free & Queer Cinema will set it off tomorrow, literally, with the oldie-but-goodie staring the Queen herself, Jada Pinkett, and Vivica A. Fox, Set It Off. The electro-punk trio, BLXPLTN will host the event and any proceeds go to Allgo, so it's a good cause complete with good eye candy. Set It Off starts at 7pm at North Door. And though for many it will always be about Latifah, I'll always be partial to Jada.

For those who already knows how it all ends for T.T., Cleo, Stony, and Frankie, but who still might want a night full of strong women, Bookwoman will be screening 2004's Iron Jawed Angels. Hilary Swank and Anjelica Huston star in this tale of the women's suffrage movement, following the stories of ladies risking their lives for the right to vote. There will be a discussion afterwards with Feminists United. This screening party also kicks off at 7pm.

See. Austin's got your options. Which one will you choose?
