Austin Pride delights, Obama ignites, and kissin' queers unite, as your AggreGAYtor considers the role of institutional constructs in an evolving society.

The Good

• We all have 51 weekends to try and outdo what Austin Pride just did.

• Olympic sponsors are starting to get cold feet over Russia’s anti-gay stance, as President Obama gives LGBTQ activists a Russian fist-bump, and Justice Ginsburg gives a double high five to queer equality and the U.S. Constitution.

• News Corp. will not tolerate homophobic bile on the air, at least not over at Fox Sports.

• OutMusic is raising some seed money for a queer music documentary.

• LGBTQ folk showed their solidarity with Russians with a smooch heard ‘round the world.

The Bad

• Misleading people into risky sexual behavior is a very bad idea. It’s much better to be out and proud like newly-positive porn star Rod Daily.

• A Russian activist is pleading for international asylum for queer Russians.

The Fugly

• Thanks to a warm Pride afterglow, there will be no fugliness highlighted today.
