Sahara Davenport RIP
Sahara Davenport RIP (by saharadavenport.com)

Thomas Roberts hears wedding bells, Paris Hilton kisses a girl, and Sahara Davenport sashays away. Today’s AggreGAYtor shoots an arrow, and it goes real high.

George Michael cancels Australian tour dates due to post-pneumonia anxiety.

• Silicone-injected stinkhorn Paris Hilton is so scandalous, you guys. It’s like she constantly thinks she is in one of those bachelorette parties that invade gay clubs with their condom decorated veils. I bet she’s doing a shooter right now.

• The Liberty Council has a sad about California’s new ban on conversion therapy for minors.

• Well, shut my mouth! Georgia State Rep. Rick Crawford has gone back on his raisin.

• Australian police are digging into what appears to be a brutal hate crime and arson.

• A house fire in Indianapolis may also be motivated by homophobia.

Sahara Davenport, one of the loveliest alumna of RuPaul’s Drag Race and boyfriend of Austin Pride performer Manila Luzon, has passed.

• The AggreGAYtor is way over crime stories that make a point to mention the perpetrator is transgender, when that fact has fuck-all to do with the actual case. Grrrrrr.

• Jamaican Minister of Education Ronald Thwaites, who is one liver spot away from being a dalmatian, is pretending gay students don’t exist.

• Further marginalizing LGBT Jamaicans, anti-gay activists force shuttering of youth shelter.

• New poll shows Catholics support same-sex marriage in greater numbers than general populous.

• Although the SCOTUS is still coy on when and if they will hear the Prop 8 appeal, they did deliver a smack-down to NOM. I think I'll celebrate with an Oreo.

• MSNBC anchor Thomas Roberts ties the knot with long-time partner.

The Boss stars in marriage equality campaign. You can't start a fire without a spark.

• Serbia considers cancelling Pride over concerns about anti-LGBT violence.

• The AggreGAYtor would like to introduce footballer Matt Birk to his pal Lucy van Pelt.

• The New York Family Court’s ruling to reward custody to an adoptive lesbian mother instead of the birth mother is huge.

• New documentary tells the story of the 2009 raid on Forth Worth’s Rainbow Lounge.

• Tarant County grand jury indicts four teens for homophobic vandalism.

• GetEqual’s rained-out rally for Austin hate crime victim has been rescheduled to October 6.

LGBTQIA HISTORY CLUB: In honor of LGBT History Month, I’ll be celebrating the sung and unsung heroes who fought for the rights we enjoy today. First up is Bayard Rustin – a key architect of the Montgomery Bus Boycott, the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, and the March on Washington. His work was pivotal to people of color, labor, and the LBGTQIA community. If you have Netflix, 2003 documentary Brother Outsider is available on instant view. Learn it and learn it well.
