I never thought I'd say this – but I am going to miss waking up at 5am for 6am workouts three times a week. I always get nostalgic and misty-eyed at the end of things (movies/relationships/meals), and the Anytime Fitness Media Challenge ain't no different.
Who will guide me through the fluid and difficult movements of the TRX Suspension System?
Where will I get my fill of 90s alternative music?
And will running with weights up and down a flight of steps and ramps be the same without the other challengers cheering each other on?
Here are the answers: No one; nowhere; and no.
Pretty bleak, if you ask me.
But however sad I may seem I have already gained loads from this fitness challenge.
First of all, I feel taller, like, inches taller. I keep thinking I will suddenly be able to look over the heads of people at concerts, but sadly I'm still not tall enough. I must have been so hunched over prior to Fitness Challenge. All that schoolwork was going to make a hunchback outta me. but no more!
My clothes fit looser! It's true. Shirts that used to be oh so tight are now loose or more flatteringly form-fitting. My jeans drop and land on my hipbones. It's crazy, and it feels really good to wear clothes I haven't been able to wear for awhile! (Do I smell an outlet shopping spree coming?)
Lastly, I feel better about food (which I have always enjoyed), and instead of eating until I feel stuffed, I eat to sustain myself.
So it's pretty good all around I'd say and as for the results of the competition well you'll have to wait like the rest of us for the announcement of the winner on Friday!
