The Gay Marriage Train Rolls to Vermont
Gay marriage legal in Vermont!

Toot toot! All aboard! For the first time in United States history, gay marriage has been voted on and passed through legislative vote into law. Go on with your bad self, Vermont!
The road was rocky, but not even a gubernatorial veto could stand in the way. In cinematic fashion, the override vote flew through the state Senate before reaching some resistance in the House. When all was said and done, the vote was 100 to 49, the absolute minimum to overpower the veto. Too close for comfort, yes, but ain't no one gonna jam up the tracks of Vermont's progress today. Congratulations, everyone!
