It's Mardi Gras and right after the Oscars, so this week it's just me and the Lady Claudette Murphree. It was a rollercoaster of an episode of Rupaul's Drag Race, and we're here to share the love…
Claudette:
I am a MAC Viva Glam woman because… I never take “No” for an answer, because I love and want to be loved from the inside out, because I support human and civil rights, and because it’s going to take a LOT of MAC cosmetics to make me look anything as womanly as the Queens on this show. Big props to Ongina for coming out as HIV positive. That took much courage and certainly put Rebecca’s bathroom stall bawl in perspective.
Nina Flowers, I love you and we would make beautiful future-sex Raven-goth-Ewok children. Call me!
Jade and Shannel… please pack your bags.
Andy:
I am a MAC Viva Glam woman because… I sometimes take "No" for an answer, because I'm a really great bargain hunter, and because I find Woody Allen strangely attractive. That wasn't right, was it? Claudette wins.
OK, Ongina may be swaying me. It took a lot of GUTS for that reveal. For as much as I'd like to say differently, I think Americans stigmatize those living with HIV. And yes, it really put Rebecca's meltdown in perspective.
I love Rebecca, and by "love," I mean I would bring boy-Rebecca flowers in an instant, but she should have sashayed away today. Jade, you could've been around for at least one more!
Bebe and Shannel and one and the same for me. A lot of face, a lot of fierceness, but not a lot of "meat."
Finally, Ninal Flowers still holds court in my heart. ¡Viva la Reyna Flores!
