My Kid's Show Has Two Mommies

You never know what you're going to find in a magic pocket.

The first-ever television show for children in GLBT families, Dottie's Magic Pockets, features Dottie, a wacky and playful gal with a son and her partner May all living happy-gay-lucky with puppets (like Uncanny the singing can and a furry wall that talks) and all the silly little lessons and morals for children to just gobble up with their Fruit Loops, all-Saturday morning styles. Made by Tammy Stoner (who used to live in Austin, we have on good authority), to depict a positive image of her own family, for her son to view, to say honey, we're families, too.

(Kinda like what Step-by-Step was for me. Single tear drop.)

Check their production company website for info on purchasing DVDs or public screenings. The latest news is that the gang from the show is cruising with Rosie and friends (and family), screening episodes, doing fun activities for the children aboard, making it a positive cruise to Mexico that proud GLBT families can enjoy.

Ain't that sweet?
