There's no mincing: K8 & Kate want dates to Human Rights Campaign's Dinah Lakeshore Sold Out women's par-tay, this Saturday, 8-11pm.

Sold out? No more tickets! "Boo hoo," you say? Getting whisked away on a boat to a private and elegant dance party featuring DJ P.O.W., catering, open Tito's and Bud bar? You want a ticket? Well, who's your daddy?

We are, honey.

Kate & K8 each have one Plus One (VIP!), and we find ourselves in the precarious predicament of possessing the 2 sole remaining tickets to the mega-popular Ladybird Lake-side event, hosting over 300 of the warmest form-ests (that spells "ladies") in Central Texas.

So to avoid all of the requisite shoe-shuffling and hair-smoothing and ahemming and twitching that usually accompanies the dating scheme – not to mention the harrowing bi-polar specters of either flat out rejection or fighting them off with a stick – we figured why not hold another contest?

"Both" would be really hot, too. But pick one of the three. And yes, pictures will be accepted via email, but probably won't have that much influence as we are looking to get our brain centers tickled.

The first 15 contest entrants will win a consolation prize and one from all the entrants will be selected to win a date with K8 and another a date with Kate.

You must be 21 years of age or older to win.

One entry per person per contest.

Winners will be chosen, Friday, September 7. Winners will be notified via email or telephone between noon-1pm and must be able to confirm by Friday, September 7, 6pm.

Open only to residents of Texas.

Only registered blog commenters will be eligible to win.

Winning of prize DOES NOT include meals, transportation, gas, or any other amenity not mentioned in this blog entry. The prize is basically one ticket, to be Kate or K8's Plus One (VIP) at the Dinah Lakeshore event, ONLY.

Winning of prize DOES NOT imply any any other date or dating scenario, does not imply anything untoward and you don't even have to dance with the one who brung ya.

The odds of winning depend on the total number of entries received.

Winners will be decided by Kate & K8 and a panel of Chronicle co-workers.

Ticket for specific event night. (A $50 value.) No date change, no rainchecks other than what is offered by sponsoring organizer: HRC.
