Updated: At 5:10pm, the D.A.'s office sent out the following statement: "Travis County District Attorney Margaret Moore announced that she has had no contact today from the attorneys for Representative Dukes. The offer to resolve this matter has expired and is no longer available. We will be ready for trial."

Abbott Announces Special Session
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott announced plans for a special session this summer, to clean up a bit of the leftover mess from the recently concluded 85th legislative session. The state’s House and Senate will reconvene at the Capitol on July 18. Abbott will have lawmakers consider legislation to fix the state’s Medical Board.
