A Closer Look at the D.A.'s Handling of Sexual Assault Cases

By Kimberley Jones, February 7, 2020, 3:30pm, Newsdesk

Currently embroiled in two lawsuits surrounding its handling of sexual assault cases, the district attorney's office is the subject of our first segment on this week's The Austin Chronicle Show.

Sarah Marloff, who wrote this week's cover story, summarizes what we know so far about the lawsuits, and what kind of impact it's having on the D.A. Margaret Moore's re-election campaign.

In the second half of the program, Kahron Spearman reflects on the complicated feelings he had attending Austin's first-ever African-American genealogy conference last weekend, which he also wrote about in this week's issue.

Host: Kim Jones. Guests: Sarah Marloff, Kahron Spearman. Engineer: Evan Hearn. Theme music: Kevin Curtin and Jonas Wilson.
