The campaign treasurer filings – the first official indication of an intention to run for City Council – have begun to accumulate, and this week former CM Jackie Goodman filed her papers, as did a newcomer mayoral candidate, web designer and AdBirds CEO Randall Stephens.

Goodman, who served four terms (pre-term limits) on Council beginning in 1993, is currently the only District 2 candidate with a treasurer filing, but small businessman Frank Coniglio, assistant attorney general Delia Garza, and Dove Springs NA President Edward Reyes have previously indicated an interest in running in the Southeast district.

Stephens, whose Facebook page says he lives in the Williamson County section of Austin, is running a "Power of Austin, Power of Love" campaign, and on keeping Austin "clean, safe, functional, and mobile." Currently, he's facing attorney Stephen Adler, and incumbent Council Member Mike Martinez (who will kickoff his campaign in a day-long, 10-district event this Saturday, April 5).
