The Newsgeist is back from a holiday hiatus, and full of stories on the East Coast blizzard, Medicaid, and the passing of Teena Marie. Follow the jump for more.
-Almost two feet of snow is causing problems for the East Coast.
-Some diabetes test strips are giving low readings and being recalled.
-Medicaid bonuses are being made available to states for enrolling children.
-A U.S. rare earths mine has been reopened to reduce dependency on China's mines.
-A verdict in Russia could impact elections and the country as a whole.
-R&B singer Teena Marie passed away, and apparently Twitter is the best way to share condolences.
-And finally, a local food trailer was stolen on Christmas Day.
