The Daily Hustle: 11/9/10

By Wells Dunbar, November 9, 2010, 9:55am, Newsdesk

It's been perhaps a week since the words Water Treatment Plant No. 4 were uttered, which may be a new Chron record.

Below, we set to rectifying that.

Austin Water is holding another open house, this one tomorrow, November 10, at Balcones Country Club, 8600 Balcones Club Dr., from noon to 8pm.

So, what will the rest of 2010 hold, WTP4-wise? In Fact Daily reported a few days ago the strong likelihood that the all-important Chapter 26 hearing – required for projects slated on parkland, as the plant's Spicewood Springs shaft site is – will likely be set for a public hearing at council's Nov. 18 meeting, with the actual meeting to occur sometime soon after.

And whaddya know? Here comes an item on the draft agenda setting the hearing for Dec. 16.

The Hustle wagers that for WTP4 opponents, the hearing may be a big, fat lump of coal in their Christmas stockings.

What the hell else is happening?
