Local attorney gives advice on how to avoid a pot conviction
By Jordan Smith, 8:18AM, Wed. Apr. 14, 2010

Austin musician and attorney Charlie Roadman will be hosting his fourth presentation on marijuana (and DWI) law for musicians on Monday.
Roadman will discuss the “nuances of marijuana defense,” answering common questions about pot possession – including how to avoid being popped by the police, and what to do if you are. Roadman will also discuss how DWI laws apply to “social drinkers,” according to a press release. “DWI is the second most common arrest for musicians,” he said. “Musicians are often driving late at night, after loading out of the clubs – and that’s when the police are out hunting for DWIs.”
The event takes place Mon., April 19, 8pm, at the Mohawk, 912 Red River St. Check here for more info.
