By Katherine Gregor, February 1, 2010, 10:34am, Newsdesk

Leading national, state and local experts will present at the 16th Texas Trails & Active Transportation Conference, in town Feb. 3-6. It's expanded to include more bicycling, walking and safe routes to school sessions – over 50 topics and 70 speakers in all. Event details here and below.

The event will be at the AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center on the UT campus.

Press release below:

The conference will expose participants to cutting edge existing and future “active transportation” facilities around the world. Equipment vendors will get an opportunity to show their stuff at the conference exhibits. Many sessions and workshops will be fantastic opportunities for networking and exchanging ideas - including our awards banquet on a river boat and sponsors' receptions.

The 2010 conference program has been a collaboration between the professionals of the Texas Trails Network, BikeTexas, Texas Active Living Network, Austin Parks Foundation, Hill Country Conservancy, Austin Ridge Riders, American Youthworks, Austin Cycling Association and scores of dedicated volunteers. Come join us and see how you can create a brighter future for your area's hikers, bicyclists, canoeists, kayakers, and equestrians.
