Get Registered to Vote by Monday
Oct. 5 deadline for Nov. 3 amendments election

If you are not currently registered to vote and want to participate in the Nov. 3 state constitutional amendments election (yeah, we didn't really realize one was coming up, either) then you need to get signed up by Monday, Oct. 5. Press release from the county follows the jump:
Don’t Miss the October 5 Voter Registration Deadline!Austin, Texas – Register to vote for the November 3 Constitutional Amendment Election by Monday, October 5. If you’ve moved, you must update your voter registration record. Travis County voters may check online at www.traviscountytax.org or they may contact the Voter Registrar’s office by telephone. The number is 854-9473.
Last minute options to register include:
• In person registration at 5501 Airport Boulevard from 7:30am to 5:30pm
• In person registration 8am-5pm at any tax office satellite office:
1. 15822 Foothill Farms Loop in Pflugerville
2. 4011 McKinney Falls Parkway near the airport
3. 4705 Heflin Lane near the intersection of Springdale Road and Martin Luther King Boulevard
4. 8656 Highway 71 in Oak Hill, one mile west of the Y at Covered Bridge
• Mail an application and make sure the postmark shows October 5 or earlier. Find applications at post offices, libraries, or www.traviscountytax.orgVoters who have an orange certificate that displays current residence address are registered to vote. Early voting in person begins Monday, October 19 and ends Friday, October 30. For questions about voter registration, call 854-9473.
