Want to help fight for cannabis legalization at the Capitol, on the web, and in the street?
If so, this weekend's activist training camp might be the event for you. Texas NORML will sponsor the camp, this Sunday at Brave New Books (1904 Guadalupe St.) from 12:30 to 5pm. Speakers will discuss basic cannabis "need-to-know" facts, information on medi-pot, and industrial hemp facts. In short, the camp will be "jam-packed with information on how one can effectively participate in ending the prohibition of cannabis."
Interested? Please RSVP to [email protected]
Also coming up on NORML's calendar of events is a book signing in March with High Times magazine editor David Bienenstock, who will be in Austin to sign copies of his High Times Official Pot Smokers Handbook.
More info on that event, from the NORML press release, after the fold.
Here's the entire text of the NORML press release:
David Bienenstock, Executive Director of High Times Magazine and author of High Times' official Pot Smokers Handbook, will be joining us in Austin to kick off SXSW!
David will join us at Brave New Books at 1904 Guadalupe St, #B downstairs at 3:00 PM on Saturday March 14th to meet the kind folks in Austin. Signed copies of his book will be available, and he will have some time for questions.
The book, which includes 420 things to do when you're stoned, offers readers a delightful insight in the past, present and possible future for cannabis and is packed with everyday, need-to-know information.
Please arrive early as space and time are limited.
Proceeds from this event will be graciously donated to Texas NORML's efforts to re-legalize cannabis in Texas.
