Deputy voter registrars are a major reason Travis County has such a high number of registered voters. If you want to help out, the county is having an open house to recruit new registrars. See press release from county after the fold.
Would you like to help register voters in Travis County? Join the ranks of some 4,000 volunteer deputy registrars at an open house next week. The purpose of the open house includes:

• providing current volunteers with the opportunity to renew their appointments
• reviewing changes adopted in volunteer duties.
Anyone interested in becoming a volunteer deputy registrar must be at least 18 years old and a resident of Travis County. The open house schedule includes many one-hour sessions during the week of February 16th.
Tuesday, Feb 17 – 10:30am, 12:30pm, 2:30pm, 6:30pm
