Here Comes the Thunder
The Dems come blasting into the convention
By Richard Whittaker, 5:26PM, Fri. Jun. 6, 2008
What do WWE champion Triple H and Texas Democratic Party chair Boyd Richie have in common? They both have their own entrance music.
The convention staff are testing the sound system for this evening's gavelling-in of the convention proper, and this has given the press cadre a tease of who will be here by playing their pre-recorded entrance announcements. It's common knowledge that Obama campaign co-chair Gov. Tim Kaine of Virginia will be here, and word on the street is that a certain Chelsea C. will put in a showing. But there were also announcements for Congressman Al Green (seemingly entering to "Only in America", which seems a bit cruel) and Sen. Leticia van de Putte ("Respect").
So what about the other half dozen tracks? All we know is that someone is getting "Keep On Rockin' In the Free World" tonight.
