APD detectives seek public’s assistance in aggravated assault
Austin Police Department detectives are seeking the public’s assistance to help identify an unidentified suspect involved in an aggravated assault on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2007, at Paradox Night Club, 311 East Fifth Street.
The victim was walking in the club with three other females. They were near the restrooms when the suspect grabbed one of the other females. Once she got free, he then grabbed the victim. Victim freed herself. At that point the suspect smashed a “Highball” glass onto the victim’s face.
The victim suffered severe lacerations to her forehead, temple, nose and missing skin from her nose. After further examination it was determined that the victim suffered from an injury on her neck that could have been life threatening.
The suspect is described as:
Black Male
Early to late 20’s
6’ in height
Thin build
Brown hair and eyes
Suspect was wearing a black button up shirt, black slacks and a Santa Claus hat.
Detectives are asking anyone with information about the suspect or who may have witnessed the assault to call Detective Sullivan at 974-4458. This case remains under investigation by the Downtown Area Command.
