Wade in the Water
Yet another shirtless mayor sighting, on the shores of Town Lake.

The lovely Jana Birchum gets up early in the morning, so you don't have to.
This past Monday at 8am, Mayor Will Wynn finally took the much ballyhooed plunge into Town Lake to promote the 17th annual CapTexTri (that's Capital Texas Triathlon) organized by RunTex buddy Paul Carozza and Meals on Wheels and More CEO Dan Pruett. (It was initially planned earlier this year, but scheduling snafus – and some coldass weather – pushed it back.) Regardless, it's a win-Wynn (har har): The Olympic-qualifying event gets free promotion, and our camera-whore of a mayor gets to take his shirt off. Again. But what's this? As you can see from the second picture in the series, it looks like a certain Texas governor who shall remain nameless made an unscheduled appearance. We're sure he just happened by on his morning run – what a coincidence he also just happened by that ridiculous Lawn Mower photo-op last month! Small world and all.
