SXSW Music Rounds Up Last Wave of Talent

Bully, Khalid, Car Seat Headrest, Lizzo, and Billie Eilish join fest

South by Southwest dawning, their Music team now releases an overall list recapping all 10 previous talent drops. Embedded in the master directory are also 211 new reveals. Leading the charge are Nashville grungers Bully, nü R&B phenom Khalid, teen pop breakout Billie Eilish, indie rockers Car Seat Headrest, and rapper/singer Lizzo.

Most of those artists’ SXSW showcases came to light last week, via announcements from brand partners. Still, this fresh batch runs deep with emerging and established talent including once local god of hellfire The Crazy World of Arthur Brown, outlaw country artist Nikki Lane, sexually empowered Tennessee rapper Bbymutha, and veteran producer Dan the Automator.

Hip-hop artist Billyracxx, formerly known as Billy Ocean, stands out from the Fests, as does Big Thief frontman Buck Meek, indie-pop darlings Cults, song scion Justin Townes Earle, and Austin-reared singer/guitarist/A Star Is Born bit player Lukas Nelson.

The Black Angels, Black Pistol Fire, Shinyribs, Big Bill, Mélat, Bob Schneider, Riders Against the Storm, and Peelander-Z highlight a list of late-breaking Austin talent, as well.

That hefty add-on includes: Akaw!, Ben Buck, Beto & the Fairlanes, Big Wy’s Brass Band, Cece Hustle, Cheap Fur, Cody Campbell, Curtis McMurtry, Daniel Francis Doyle & the Dreams, Dayglow, DJ Big Daddy B, DJ Miles, DJ Mr Carter, Emme, Flesh Lights, Go DJ JB, GoDJKnowledge & the Trendsetters, Grace Pettis, High Heavens, Hoodtronics, Jai Malano, John Mills Times Ten, Julia Lucille, Marcos Cabral, Mason Flynt, Midcentury, Pierson Saxon, Pink Elephant Radio Hosts, Pleasure Venom, Ringo Deathstarr, the Sour Notes, and Van Mary.
