Acclaimed singer-songwriter Patty Griffin headlines South by Southwest’s free outdoor stage at Lady Bird Lake on Saturday, March 16. Übertalented indie rock maestro Andrew Bird plays directly before her.
Both artists have new albums in the oven. Griffin’s eponymous 10th LP arrives March 8, while Bird’s modestly titled My Finest Work hits the marketplace March 22. Nashville singer/guitarist William Tyler and folk/indie-pop songsmith Courtney Marie Andrews open the show.
SXSW hopes to announce Thursday and Friday’s Auditorium Shores programming in the next week. Here are set times:
Saturday, March 16, SXSW outdoor stage at Lady Bird Lake:
6-6:25pm: William Tyler
6:40-7:15pm: Courtney Marie Andrews
7:35-8:20pm: Andrew Bird
8:45-9:45pm: Patty Griffin
