Old Settler’s Daily Lineup Revealed

Jason Isbell caps Friday, Brandi Carlile stars Saturday

Following November’s strong initial lineup announcement, Old Settler’s Music Festival organizers have now revealed the daily schedule for their 2019 outing, transpiring April 11-14 in Tilmon, near Lockhart.

A special acoustic performance from Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit tops a relentless Friday run that also includes bluegrass elder statesman Del McCoury and siren violinist Amanda Shires, not to mention top-tier talents in Mandolin Orange, James Hunter Six, and John Moreland. On Saturday, Brandi Carlile tops a bill featuring Hayes Carll, Tex-Mex contingent Los Legends, current Grammy nominees Wood & Wire, and Sarah Grace, who won OSMF’s youth talent competition last year. Sunday promises the almighty Shinyribs, as well as a surprise collaboration to open the 32-years-running roots fest’s final day.

Deep-voiced Southern blues/gospel singer Paul Thorn headlines pre-festivities on Thursday, which also include young, North Carolina folk/country string band Mipso. The schedule drop dually reveals the going-on at ShhhTimes – a far-off, late-night stage where artists play un-amplified to a hushed audience. That schedule looks like so:

Thursday: Mipso, John Elliot, Batty Jr.
Friday: South Austin Jug Band, Calliope Musicals, Middlespoon
Saturday: Wood & Wire, Ley Line, McMercy Family Band.

Tickets for OSMF are on sale now.
