By Austin Powell, 3:59PM, Thu. Oct. 14, 2010

Last year more than a few people went permanently scarred with a Fun Fun Fun Fest tattoo as part of Transmission Entertainment’s inaugural scavenger hunt. Needless to say, if you’re not willing to go the distance, don’t even bother showing up for round two, which kicks off Friday night at Mohawk. Bring a costume; it's worth bonus points!
Sign up your squad of two to five people here or show up early at Mohawk. Check in begins at 5pm, with the hunt kicking off promptly at 6pm. Each team needs to bring five canned goods, which will be donated to Caritas of Austin.
The essential details are copied below:
• Teams must have name and be comprised of two to five people. • The 50 item to-do-list will be provided at 6 p.m. • To earn extra points, come in costume, check in at various places via Gowalla, and follow Fun Fest’s Scavenger Hunt on Twitter. Ricky the infamous Fun Fest intern has returned to tweet for this momentous occasion. • Bring digital cameras to document your work; bring a video camera or flip-cam should you wish to participate in the bonus “Best Scavenger Hunt Documentary” contest (entries due by October 25th). Plus, certain activities may net you extra points if you have a video of the deed! • Teams much check back in at 10 p.m. to be eligible for prizes.
