The Texas National Guard snubs D.C., San Antonio Repubs act ugly, and Ohio flubs its efforts at marriage inequality, as your AggreGAYtor gets down.
The Good
-
The death of DOMA is eroding “states’ rights” to deny full faith and credit to couples legally married elsewhere; in this case Ohio is being forced to recognize a bereaved widower.
-
Some fed-up Christian allies have banded together to launch a video campaign called “Not All Like That.” Because they aren’t all like that, and some of them are even like us.
-
Trans kids who come out sometimes face less ugliness than one might expect, but we can still help make their school environment safer. Transgender detainees, however, still have it rough, but according to this timeline, progress is being made.
-
Russian activists thank the world for their solidarity, in pictures.
The Bad
-
The old saying, “Thank God for Mississippi,” does not apply when Texas is implicated too. The Texas Tribune weighs in on the Texas National Guard’s Pentagon snubbing.
-
Russia’s first “gay propaganda” conviction may come courtesy of a young activist’s parents.
The Fugly
-
San Antonio’s anti-discrimination efforts are drawing national attention amid some nasty Republican comments.
-
Bryan Fischer doesn’t know the difference between Munich and Buchenwald.
-
Matt Barber still has a job at the Liberty Council, even though he says such horrible and stupid things.
It Came from the Tubes
Both albums drop September 10. Just sayin.
