Mardi Blaggin'
Foul weather can only hold the parade up for so long. Tonight we roll.

Grrrrr. The last three times I have had three breaths to myself to actually blog about this Mardi Gras trip, the server has been kaputnik. So, I will try to catch up later tonight, after two days of scheduled parades rolled into one night roll out uptown New Orleans in the next few hours.
Why so many parades all in one night? Well, in the words of a work colleague of my Fest buddy Rachel O., yesterday's incoming storm looked to be of "Biblical proportions" (which I thought a poor choice of hyperbole for this town). The great storm missed, and we only had an hour or two of early evening rain, enough to adversely affect three giant papier-mache line-ups, so Muses (the women's parade, around which I scheduled my trip) and the rest of last night's line-up will roll tonight, along with the already scheduled processions.
It will be a long night. Blog you later~!
