Austin mainstay Jo’s Coffee will open its fifth shop on May 8 in South Austin. Naturally, the new Jo’s is having an opening party to welcome everyone. And that party comes with freebies. Highly caffeinated freebies.

To wit: Stop by on opening day for a free cup of cold brew, or a cup of drip coffee.

Jo’s Coffee General Manager Carolyn Garlock says, “We’re super excited because [the giveaway] is a great opportunity to get to know our neighbors, and for our neighbors to get to know us, too.”

Being square on the Northwest corner of Menchaca and Stassney gives Jo’s the opportunity to serve coffee to masses of students, educators, and staffers from Austin Community College and Crockett High School. And the Menchaca Branch Library is a short walk away.

This is the second Jo’s location with a drive-through feature (the first was the Red River and 41st Street location), a welcome amenity to those seeking coffee en route to work before 8am.

Jo's Coffee South is located at 5532 Menchaca Road. It will be open 6am-7pm daily.
