Drinking and Dog-Walking? We're Listening.

Everything you need to imbibe on the go, and it's for a good cause

In some physical activities, the rules of when imbibing is acceptable can be blurry, like the “19th hole” thing. Sipping on the golf course is fine. But sipping while walking a dog? It has never occurred to me.

As a longtime dog owner and semi-pro dog walker who sporadically takes gigs via an app, I have skipped many happy hours and late-night beverage opportunities because I had to walk the dog, either mine or yours. The events I’ve missed because I’d be tethered to up to 100 pounds of dog mere hours later would blow your mind. Don’t cry for me; I love walking dogs. But you know what else I love? Innovation.

Exemplifying innovation are Tito’s Vodka for Dog People and BISSELL Pet Foundation, who have partnered to create a Walktail Capsule Collection, including the Tito’s Walk-Pack, a custom-designed fanny pack that can hold three minis of Tito’s, and a Walktail-branded YETI Rambler® Lowball tumbler. Each Walk-Pack also comes with a leash, a sip-n-go pet dish, adorable bandana (for you or your dog) and baseball cap (for you). (The Tito’s is sold separately.)

Initially I thought this was silly, but it’s actually brilliant. They have engineered a fanny-pack with which you can carry a cocktail or three as you walk your dog. Dare you walk and sip at the same time? What are you, a genius?

If the total functionality of the collection doesn’t grab you, know that 100% of the proceeds go to the BISSELL Pet Foundation to support its goal of finding a loving home for every pet. Every Walk-Pack sold helps pets find their walkers. This would make an excellent gift for every dog person who sips in your life.
