The Chameleon Companies restaurant group announced today that Wu Chow, the Downtown modern Chinese restaurant, will open its second location in early summer 2023 in the space previously occupied by Rosedale Kitchen and Bar.

Wu Chow North will offer the same locally sourced “farm to wok” Chinese cuisine, as well as Sunday dim sum brunch. The new location will also feature a private dining room that will accommodate 30 people, with a private entrance and full audio-visual capabilities for your fancy business dinner meetings.

The space at 3800 North Lamar, just a few doors down from a Kendra Scott storefront, has been in Chameleon’s possession since 2018. Its first restaurant concept in the space was the seafood restaurant Guild, which opened in March 2018 and closed that December. The group then opened Rosedale Kitchen and Bar in July 2019; that concept shuttered in October 2022.

Wu Chow North’s hours will be Mon.-Fri., 11am-2pm; Mon.-Thurs.. 5pm-10pm; and Fri.- Sat., 5pm-11pm. Dim sum brunch will be Sun., 11am-3pm. wuchowaustin.com.
