These Restaurants Have 86’d Service Today
Local dining spots shutter themselves against the weather

Because, if a certain number of staff and/or customers are killed or incapacitated in a motorcrash, what’s the point in running a food-mongering community hub at all.

We mean, that’s what it comes down to, right?
And this day’s rain (with even worse expected overnight) and sub- or near-freezing temperatures are making our city’s various roadways hazardous af. So, along with schools closing and retail operations hunkering down and even your trusty Chronicle staff working from the safety of home – howdy! – many of our local restaurants are invoking Abundance of Caution and not opening today and probably not tomorrow, either.
[Note: When we return to normal weather? Patronize these places mucho mas, okay? And that’ll likely hold them until SXSW’s in town.]
