Who Says Grilling Season Is Over?

STFU, hoss, and pass us that slab of wagyu

We mean: It’s finally cool enough to actually enjoy being outside at a grill and fixin’ up a fine array of meats and veggies and so on, right?

Maybe even, whoa, a thick disc of cheese.

Made In x Tecovas = Rugged tools for rugged people, and some damn fine grilling

Sure, this summer was actually mild for a Texas summer – while the U.S. Northwest suffered worse than we’ve usually knownclimate change, go figure – but, still, isn’t it better to hit the backyard or parkside grilling station now, when the weather’s becoming distinctly less hellish?

And, for that matter, isn’t it better to do your grilling when you’ve got the best tools with which to accomplish that blessed industry?

Here in Austin, because we prefer things local when possible, we’re all about the Made In line of cookware – the knives, the pans, the skillets, etc – when it comes to using the heat of wood or coals (or, hell, even natural gas) to turn burgers and steaks and chickens and ’maters and zucchini and giant mushrooms and so on into palate-pleasing treasures for friends and family.

(’Course, we’d likely be using Made In culinary instruments regardless of where we lived, because they’re so well made. Hell, Austin’s own Jess Pryles, that Hardcore Carnivore, she’s originally from Australia, FFS – and we already noted that Made-In’s her main choice of fightin’ tools, too.)

Another thing we like here in Austin – or Texas – or Tejas, amigo – is cowboy boots, no doubt about that. And if you’re thinking “cowboy boots” at all, the name Tecovas is likely to come to mind. Damn fine boots, right? Tecovas has a whole bunch of other apparel, too – but mostly it’s those boots of theirs that spark the kudos, hey?

What if I told you – go ahead, imagine this being said in the voice of Morpheus from the Matrix movies – what if I told you that Made In has partnered with Tecovas to release a collection of grillmaster tools that will take your live-fire game to the proverbial next level?

Citizen, how about a Tecovas-crafted Eight-Knife Roll for carrying your fiercest sharps? How about a leather handle cover to add even more protection (and we daresay style) to your wildest heat-based program activities?

Yeah, and you know some Made In innovations of carbon steel are part of the elegant-yet-practical set, right? And – oh, hell, just look at the whole collection right here.

And, after that, maybe you’ll be clicking around the rest of the Made In website, checking out all they have to offer. And maybe you’ll wind up getting you a few of the fine offerings there – maybe even some of those primo baking dishes or sheet pans – and you’ll look at your stretching budget and you’ll curse your reporter’s name.

But, tell you what: After you’ve used these products for a while, and noted their solid workmanship and culinary, whattayacallit, efficacy … after that, you’ll retract that curse and possibly offer a blessing or two instead.

Because, yes: Made In will do right by you, so you can concentrate on cooking up the best grub you’ve ever set over fire.

You're welcome.
