Free Breakfast from Beyond Meat at Brunch Bird on Thursday
Beyond Meat, but not beyond your budget
By Wayne Alan Brenner, 4:00PM, Wed. Jan. 13, 2021
So, those Beyond Meat folks, the people who make that plant-based meat that makes even the mouths of dedicated carnivores water, have teamed up with restaurants across the country to create “delicious and better-for-you breakfasts” made with their Beyond Breakfast Sausage – and they’re giving it away for free.
We’re not telling you this as just another nugget of trivia; we’re hipping you to the local connection: This is happening at Austin’s Brunch Bird, the catering company at River City Market, and will run the whole morning while supplies last.
Yeah, “while supplies last.” This deal will probably go like gluten-free hotcakes in our vegan-friendly town, which is why we’re telling you early: Book a time in advance via Resy right now to pick up your free breakfast on Thu., Jan. 14, 8-11am.
Note: Even if you miss out – and we wouldn’t be telling you this if our own experience with Beyond Meat wasn’t along the lines of “Daaaamn, who needs the hell needs to eat animals anymore, this stuff is awesome!” – you can still enjoy Beyond Breakfast Sausage at home by visiting your local grocery store to try it (or one of Beyond Meat’s other plant-based breakfast options).
