Watch the Austin Chronicle Hot Sauce Festival From Home

Local bands, cooking demos, & the winners of this year's competition

For the past 30 years we've tortured Austinites with an outdoor celebration of Hot Sauce in the middle of the summer. COVID-19 made that impossible. But we're hoping to help out the Central Texas Food Bank and share some sauce regardless.

And like so many festivals that means going virtual. Watch some local bands perform, food experts share some recipes, and this year's judges choose the winners of the competition.

Don't forget to donate to the Central Texas Food Bank – they need your help more than ever.

Find your way to our Facebook page around 1pm to watch the livestream.

A note to readers: Bold and uncensored, The Austin Chronicle has been Austin’s independent news source for almost 40 years, expressing the community’s political and environmental concerns and supporting its active cultural scene. Now more than ever, we need your support to continue supplying Austin with independent, free press. If real news is important to you, please consider making a donation of $5, $10 or whatever you can afford, to help keep our journalism on stands.
