Hopdoddy: Gluten-free, Dairy-free?

Popular burger bar collaborates for a special Friday menu

Hopdoddy’s chef Matt Schweitzer, looking to provide an event for the local burger bar’s fans who are living gluten- or dairy-free lifestyles, has teamed up with Siete Family Foods, 4th Tap Brewing Co-op, and NadaMoo Ice Cream to do exactly that – for one day only.

(Although, who knows, right? If this works out, they might do it again. These are pandemic times, after all, and – as Devi McCallion musically reminds us in another context – anything could happen, anything could happen.)

That gluten-free, dairy-free day is this Friday, May 22 – and the deal is available for (limited) dine-in and carryout service at all Hopdoddy locations in Austin, Round Rock, and Cedar Park. And when we say “the deal,” we mean a gluten-free bun option for the burgers, queso and quacamole with tortilla chips from Siete, 4th Tap’s Sun Eater brew, and creamy NadaMoo shakes of vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, or Oreo flavor.

Best bet: The Gluten-Free Quarantine Pack that combines all that goodness in one handy pig-out package. If you’re the kind of person who plans ahead, you might wanna get your clickin’ finger ready for Friday.

You do remember Friday, right? That day right before what we used to call the weekend? In any case, we reckon it’s never not a good time for some Hopdoddy’s.
