JuiceLand’s Liquid Gold Drop Health Drink Recipe

By Jessi Cape, April 22, 2020, 9:30am, On the Range

Matt Shook, founder of JuiceLand (you know, the Austin-based company known for fresh, cold-pressed juices, superfood smoothies, immune-boosting shots, and a plant-based menu) shared one of their favorite recipes that’s great for the home kitchen.

Shook said, “The best way to boost immunity is to cut out alcohol. When I stopped drinking alcohol over three years ago, I noticed immediately that when something was coming on – like a cold – all I had to do was drink a bunch of water and it generally just went away. In the past I would have gotten sick. Also, I love to take the oil of oregano as a way to nip a bug in the bud. Just a few drops when you feel a sickness coming on can really make all the difference."

Plus, a little bit of good news for those looking for work: With help from a PPP loan last week, JuiceLand is now actively hiring at locations in Austin, Houston, and Dallas, and will start by hiring 100 employees and reopening five stores in the next few weeks, including Westlake, South First, and Parmer Lane, with plans to reopen more locations soon.

Note: Obviously, this tasty drink, despite any health benefits, is no replacement for social distancing and wearing masks in public. Stay safe, stay healthy, and stay at home.
