Treaty Oak Distilling: Pre-Order & Pickup Grocery Service

Hill Country hooch-honchos stepping up with more vitals & vittles

Hope springs eternal, and Dripping Springs is eternally (or at least for the foreseeable future) blessed with this former-ranch-turned-distillery that we can’t wait to get back to for some R&R once this viral mess and its terrible consequences are last month’s news. But look at what they’re doing now:

Treaty Oak Distilling, in partnership with its food suppliers, is providing order-ahead grocery services to the local community in the hill country, via the Toast takeout app. On the app, customers can order a wide range of items, including: bread, buns and tortillas; beef, chicken, sausage, bacon and deli meat; fruits, vegetables and other produce; cheese and milk (including lactose-free options); eggs; rice; frozen pizzas; chips; soft drinks and water; condiments; and toilet paper and paper towels.

You know what a difference this is gonna make for people out there beyond Austin’s boondocks? Answer: A damn big difference, thank you, Daniel Barnes & company.

And remember that Treaty Oak Distilling’s got Alice’s Restaurant on their well-kept grounds – and they’re offering a to-go menu of BBQ, take-and-bake meals, and a wide range of beers, wines, and cocktail kits, each day from noon-7pm. (Note: All the distillery’s whiskeys and gins are available for delivery, too.)

Also, beginning this week, Treaty Oak is producing and providing two-ounce bottles of hand sanitizer to those in the community who need it, brewing it up with the grain neutral spirits from their own Waterloo No. 9 Gin (and glycerin, hydrogen peroxide, and agua, per the WHO’s guidelines).

You live out that way at all, these guys are your survival huckleberry. You don’t live out that way, make note: After our current slow-motion catastrophe fizzles itself out, this Treaty Oak Distillery is a hill-country wonderground you definitely want to visit.
