Mostly A’s: The Gourmands
You two are here for a good culinary time, not the bells and whistles frippery of Valentine’s Day cuisine. Avoid the prix fixe madness and spend an evening somewhere you can focus on what’s on the plate in between gazing into each other’s eyes. This year we recommend TenTen, a super sleek just-opened Japanese restaurant in the heart of downtown, where you can celebrate romance over small plates, sushi, and gorgeous new style sashimi like the hamachi and truffle carpaccio.

Mostly B’s: The Rockers
Lets face it, you’re gonna be out late on Valentine’s Day. Sure, you’d love to celebrate with a traditional dinner, but it’s Austin, there’s a great show every night, so odds are one of you will spy some promising local up and comer or get the tip off on a last minute secret set and your dinner plans will be shot. Never fear, late night lovebirds, Justine’s is here for you. This romantic East Austin spot not only serves delightful French bistro fair until the wee hours, their in house record collection is clutch.

Mostly C’s: The True Romantics
You and your boo are deep in the honeymoon stage, the kind of daters whose PDA level is too high to be allowed in polite society. You love love, and deserve to celebrate the most romantic holiday of them all somewhere as gorgeous and detail oriented as you are, the kind of restaurant that turns a meal into a celebration. Spend an evening holding hands at Jeffrey’s, which, with their cheese and dessert carts, and tableside cocktail service, will transport you into a romantic vision of the past.

Mostly D’s: The Social Stars
Your relationship shines brightest in the eyes of beholders. You and your love adore seeing and being seen, and for you romance is at its finest when it’s drawing likes and heart eye emojis by the ton. Get that V Day content at Eberly, where the picturesque setting of this former print shop has been organized into several Insta worthy settings, from the glass roofed atrium to the mirrored bar, the perfect spot for capturing a candid shot of the two of you canoodling over a dozen oysters.
