North by Northwest Brewery on Slaughter Lane to Close

By Kimberley Jones, January 29, 2019, 4:02pm, On the Range

2019 sure is looking doomy for longtime Austin restaurants. This time, it’s North by Northwest Brewing Co., which is closing its location on Slaughter Lane on Feb. 2. The Stonelake location (10010 N. Capital of Texas Hwy.) remains open.

Here’s the message the NXNW team released today:

After careful consideration, we are saddened to announce that the North by Northwest Brewing Co. location on Slaughter Lane is closing. Our last day of service will be Saturday, February 2. Unfortunately, the construction work in the area has created an ongoing issue that we have tried to work around, but we’ve ultimately made the decision to close this location.

We’ll continue canning and selling beer out of the brewery and restaurant in Stonelake. Guests with gift cards can redeem them at this location after Slaughter Lane’s last dinner service this Saturday.

Thank you to all the patrons who’ve supported North by Northwest Brewing Co. Operating two locations in the Austin area has been a wonderful experience, and while we may be closing one, we look forward to our continued journey with the original NXNW brewery.
