Big Reds & Bubbles Announces Bites List

Here's what will soak up all that wine

The Wine and Food Foundation of Texas’ annual Big Reds & Bubbles is all about sexy wines like W & J Graham's 2000 Vintage Port, Yalumba’s 2010 Signature Cabernet Sauvignon-Shiraz , and Gloria Ferrer’s 2005 Royal Cuvee. But you already knew that when you bought your ticket. What you didn’t know is what you would be nibbling between those sips.

It's about time you start building an appetite. Today, the WFFT announced the restaurant lineup and menu for their 13th annual shindig featuring some of the best wines on the planet. Fittingly, there are a lot of world-class restaurants on the list. Drumroll please:

Andiamo Ristorante – eggplant stuffed with mozzarella & ricotta
Café Josie – shrimp enchiladas
The Carillon – beef tartare
Chocolaterie Tessa – chocolates
Dine – pork belly sliders with Austin amber beer mustard, Thai-marinated veggies
The Driskill Grill – wild boar chop, goat cheese, apple cider honey glaze
Eddie V's – tuna tartare
Finn & Porter – foie gras pot pie
Fleming's – ahi tuna taco, wakame salad, soy ginger emulsion
Fork & Vine – beef tartare, harissa, egg, toast
Garbo's – pork belly, octopus
Geraldine's – fried pork
Jacoby's – duck liver pate with cranberry, smoked pecans, pickled apples, house bacon
Olive & June – greens, charred onion, root vegetables
Proof & Cooper – fried chicken biscuits
Roaring Fork – green chili pork stew
Sage Hill Inn – pork cheek, swiss chard, purple potato
The Scarlet Rabbit – herb-grilled pork chop, roasted Brussels sprouts, crispy potato, black pepper honey
Truluck's – crabcake with dill tartar
VOX Table – panisse with prosciutto

And as if that wasn't enough to make you do the Roger Rabbit at your desk, there's more for VIP ticket holders. Wine geniuses June Rodil of McGuire Moorman Hospitality and Devon Broglie of Whole Foods Market will be giving a guided tour of all the offerings 30 minutes before gates open to general ticket holders . Oh, and they will also get a glass of 2006 Duval Leroy Blanc de Blancs. NBD.

The event sold out in record time, but you can get on the waiting list here. Next time buy tickets right away, slacker.
