And although the folks at Hops & Grain can’t help you with the former, they can help you with the latter. On Monday, Nov. 9, the brewery will be hosting Kitchen Underground chef and food writer Maggie Perkins, who will teach you how to make a mean chicken and andouille gumbo. You will roux the day if you don’t attend.

Wine genius Paula Rester has returned to Austin and the La Corsha Hospitality Group (Second Bar + Kitchen, Congress, Bar Congress, Green Pastures, and the upcoming Boiler Nine Bar + Grill), where she will be curating their various eatery’s wine lists as the company's wine director. Rester was previously the captain and sommelier of Congress before moving to New York to work as the sommelier at Maialino, the Italian restaurant from Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group. Although we are sure that New York will miss her near-encyclopedic knowledge, we’re totally #sorrynotsorry.
