Dine Out, Do Good
Three delicious ways to give back this weekend

Good food is made even better when it intersects with great causes. This weekend, three delicious events will allow you to do your part.
The second Fed Truck Friday is happening tomorrow, July 31. It is a one-day event that raises funds and awareness for Keep Austin Fed, an organization that redistributes leftover food to local food banks, shelters, and churches. Close to 30 food trucks across the city have agreed to donate 10% of your bill this Friday when you say, “I’m here to feed my face and spread the love!” Check the list of food trucks here.
This Saturday, Aug. 1, 2nd Street District is hosting its third White Linen Night from 6-9pm. The ticketed party will feature live music, the unveiling of a new mural, and bites and pairings from some of Austin’s favorite spots, including Bob’s Steak & Chop House, Bribery Bakery, Cantina Laredo, Con’ Olio, CRÚ, Finn & Porter, Frank, Hilmy Cellars, Numero28, Spicewood Vineyards, TenOak, the Bonneville, and the W Hotel Living Room. This event helps support Urban Roots, a local nonprofit that offers farming internships to at-risk youth. A general admission ticket costs $30, while a VIP ticket costs $50 and includes admission to the VIP afterparty at the Bonneville from 9-11pm. You can purchase tickets here.
Currently ongoing until Tuesday, Aug. 4, is VOX Table’s Springdale Farm Awareness Week. Springdale Farm is currently in the midst of some uncertainty as it awaits the hearing of its conditional use permit appeal. If you would like to show your support for the East Austin farm, VOX Table (1100 S. Lamar) has prepared a special dish and cocktail made with the farm’s produce. 100% of the proceeds will go to the farm.
