Maybe you’re a wonderful champion of low-cost or free veterinary services for all cats and dogs and you happen to also love local eats and drinks.
Maybe restaurants on Valentine’s Day induce anxiety; maybe you’re racked with guilt about dining out while your four-legged true love sits at home missing you and listening to Elliott Smith. Whatever the case, Emancipet’s fifth annual Sit Stay Day kits are on sale right meow.
On February 13, a jackpot rainbow assortment of goodies will be delivered to homes and offices, and the proceeds continue making tails wag by boosting the mission of a group of nonprofit clinics and programs dedicated to helping animals. Emancipet has been preventing animal homelessness, providing accessible spay/neuter services and other health services since 1999.
Each kit is unique (though all equally valued) and designed with staying home in mind. The kits feature gourmet surprises from a plentiful array of vendors and can be shared or squirreled away for Netflix night. Kits might include snacks from Rhythm Superfoods, World Peas, and KIND Healthy Snacks. There will be ingredients for a full meal from Whole Foods Market and gift cards from restaurants such as Fabi + Rosi, ASTI Trattoria, Bouldin Creek Cafe, and Takoba. Treats for both humans and pets will be included: Coffee, vegan sweets, toys for the creatures, and imbibing supplies from Tito’s Handmade Vodka. Other sponsors include: Sweet Ritual, Crema Bakery & Cafe, Confituras, The Container Store, and Taurus Dog Training and Doggy Play Day.
See the website for more details (and a bigger list of sponsors and goodies). The limited supply of Sit Stay Kits are available for $175 (includes delivery) here.
