Moontower Co-op certainly knows how to party: local bluegrass, massages, and a farm-to-table menu complete with craft beer and cider. This Saturday the co-op will be hosting its annual farm social at Tecolote Farm, the longest-running CSA in Texas.
Designed to support local farms that have experienced crop damage and setbacks from recent hail storms while also strengthening membership for the co-op, the event will celebrate the area’s local food and farm communities. That, and help Moontower realize its two largest goals – to keep farmers farming and to keep food local.
Guests lucky enough to attend the sold-out dinner will feast on a menu sourced from local farms (Phoenix Farms, Green Gate Farms, Stryk Jersey Farm, and Tecolote, among others) and relish in various home-brewed libations, including apple cider brewed with peach, lavender, and Round Rock honey in addition to a spiced Texas farmhouse saison.
Though tickets for the meal are sold out, guests can still enjoy beer, cider, live music, and tours of the farm for $15, available at the door.
