Perfecting the 'Craft'
Banger’s to screen documentary film with sausage and beer pairing
By Anna Toon, 11:00AM, Tue. Apr. 1, 2014
The Texas craft beer industry contributed more than $2.3 billion to the Texas economy in 2012, while the Texas Craft Brewers Guild projects the number to rise to $5.6 billion by 2020. As states around the country experience double digit growth, filmmaker and Certified Cicerone Craig Noble set out to document his personal journey in craft beer.
A product of more than two years of research and filming across North America, Craft follows Noble on an exploration of craft breweries. From an apprenticeship at a farm brewery to beer schooling in Vermont, Noble analyzes how craft breweries maintain quality, integrity, and creativity in an increasingly competitive and innovative industry.
The film will screen April 8 at 8pm at Banger’s Sausage House & Beer Garden (79 Rainey) and pair with a secret sausage prepared by Executive Chef Ted Prater and Noble’s special Saison brewed in partnership with Hops & Grain Brewing. A Q&A with Noble will follow the screening.
The price for the film is $15, plus the Eventbrite fee. The food and beer pairing is available for purchase separately. Tickets are available for purchase here.
