Holiday Cookie Takedown in Austin this Sunday

The best cookies will win big name cookware prizes

courtesy Matt Timms
Matt Timms will be back in Austin this weekend, when the third leg of his Holiday Cookie Takedown tour stops in at the Shangri-La. Whip up your best batch of cookies and be there for the fun.

Here's how The Takedown works: Show up at the Shangri-La with your absolute best batch of cookies - the only requirement is that they be baked in an oven. Folks who enter cookies get free admission, plus one. Judges will evaluate the cookie entries and cookware prizes from such major brand name companies as Wusthof, Anonlon, Microplane, Cuisinart, and Waring will be awarded. And even it you don't win prizes, there will be cookies, Maker's Mark bourbon Eggnog, and plenty of fun! In order to enter, email Matt at chilitakedown@gmail.com.
