School House Pub Opens Today
Long-awaited new neighborhood bar opens on Manor restaurant row

There's a certain kind of symmetry to the fact that the new School House Pub(2207 Manor Road) is opening just as students head back to class. Experienced restaurateurs Edgar and Christina Torres had no way of knowing how long their first from the ground up project would take, but they are relieved school is finally in session.

The cozy and cleverly-themed neighborhood spot opens Friday, August 23rd, with a full bar, custom school-themed cocktails, 20 beers on tap, and 17 more in bottles and cans. The small bar food menu offers a comforting and affordable array of sharable plates, burgers, and sandwiches. As a stop on Manor Restaurant Row, the School House Pub is walk-able and bike-able, with a convenient paved parking lot in back and an accessible ramp. We're told there will eventually be picnic tables out front for alfresco dining.
To help celebrate the opening, representatives of Independence Brewing Co. will be on hand with a selection of craft brews for customers. Other local breweries will follow suit over the coming weeks.
