Royers Pie Haven Coming to Austin

Pie man Bud Royer has been yearning for an Austin retail outlet for several years. Now a whimsical younger sibling of the legendary Royers Round Top Cafe is coming to Austin. It's gonna happen!

In attempting to develop a presence in Austin, Royer tried partnerships with other food businesses and even considered a food truck at one point, but now he's signed a lease on what he thinks will be the perfect retail spot. Now that Toy Joy has moved, the Royers Pie Haven will open in the smaller of the two retail spaces in the building at 2900 Guadalupe. Fashion retailer Langford Market will take the larger space. The target date for opening the pie shop is early fall, just in time for football season and for lining up pie orders for the holidays.

All of the sweet pies, savory pies, pie muffins, and pastries will arrive fresh daily from Round Top. Austin's own Amy's ice cream will be available to give slices of pie the ala mode treatment and also as a component to Royer's newest decadent concoction: Pie Shakes, made with pie chunks, milk, and ice cream! The store will also offer a full-service coffee bar and will be able to cater sweet events.
