One less reason to go west: California-based burger chain In-N-Out Burger is coming to Central Texas. Better yet: Central Austin.
A Round Rock storefront was already in the works, but Community Impact reports that In-N-Out “applied April 17 for permits to build a new restaurant at 4508 N. I-35, which is near the intersection of Airport Boulevard and I-35.”
The proposed location would mark the first Austin outpost of In-N-Out, a chain that inspires dreamy, drooly devotion from thrifty carnivores and hangover sufferers alike. The location is especially central for Austin Chroniclers: The site is – oh dear – five blocks from Chron HQ. Commence belt loosening now.
