Arm Wrestling for Charity at Bar 96
Thursday night event to raise money for breast cancer organization
By Gracie Salem, 11:30AM, Mon. Apr. 15, 2013
Head over to Bar 96 this Thursday night to check out some outrageous fun.
The Austin chapter of CLAW, the Collective of Lady Arm Wrestlers, is putting on their 2013 charity event, which will raise money for Casting for Recovery, a program that combines medical information, counseling, and the therapeutic sport of fly-fishing for women in any stage of breast cancer. Pay only five dollars at the door for the theatrical spectacle where average women arm wrestle each other in costume with themed music. CLAW describes itself as a cross between “a burlesque show, a barroom brawl, and pro wrestling”. A $100 VIP ticket will get you a ringside seat, your own cocktail server, and a bag of swag. Thursday, April 18, 9pm (doors at 8pm).
